RDIF says in agreement to make 60 mln doses of Sputnik V in China

MOSCOW, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has signed an agreement with a Chinese partner to produce more than 60 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus starting from May, the fund said in a statement on Monday.

"The RDIF and one of the leading biotechnological companies of China, Shenzhen Yuanxing Gene-tech Co, announce an agreement to produce more than 60 million doses of the first registered vaccine against the coronavirus Sputnik V," the statement read.

The amount of doses is sufficient to vaccinate about 30 million people.
